I wouldnt feel comfortable just accepting something AA, or anyone within the airline industry, said right now. And with no further follow ups since early June and nothing appearing different at MIA I dont think assuming its a Go for Sept 30th the latest makes sense. Hope I'm wrong but I dont think its looking that good.

Thats a good point actually but I think it was all over not just TPG.. Quite a few bloggers and diff websites had it so it seemed something official from AA.

These bloggers would do anything to get people to their sites hoping that they click on credit card links but they aren't always honest and some of their alleged sources are questionable at best

Yeah, I don't trust AA much, but I trust an AA website statement more than I trust what some blogger says AA said to the blogger. I can't see anything on AA.com other than "CLOSED" -- and I have no hopes of a Flagship lounge (let alone FFD) any time before 2022.

Ya but did they specify a year? September 2022 is still technically September.

Yes like the story about how it's now "known" DL will open a J lounge at LAX. Then you read story and find out it was a blogger who was being a creep listening in on some unknown persons phone call.

When was this? What blogger?

Was the original AA story in June about FL/FFD in Sept for MIA from TPG? I remember seeing it on like 4 blogs and a couple business/travel sites also but no clue where it originated. I assumed this was an official announcement by AA but am getting worried given Sept is so close and nothing more since June.

Or the one who got permanently banned from FT for essentially showing people tricks that violated airline promotion terms...

Why the No FFD also at Lax rumors though? Ton of Transcon every day plus London.

Hope the MIA plan sticks for Sept. Be nice if AA put something out officially.

I believe it was the same blogger who used elite FFer stats out of MCO this summer to indicate the big drop-off of elites now flying on AA. There was a thread started about a week ago on the DL forum regarding this "leaked" information.
