Just made EXP / Executive Platinum! Resources, ask questions, brag (2021+)

Starting a new thread for 2021.

Reported EXPs for 2021 (expires JAN 2023):

Jhalapin made EXP on 17 APR 2021

I made it on 2 MAY 2021. I will have 110 segments on AA for 2021 at the end of this week. Will retire in three years and have vowed to never fly after retirement.

Now ten continual years of EXP. As Jimmy Buffet would say " some of it has been magic, some of it tragic- but it has been a good ride along the way".

Holy smokes. That's bananas. Should qualify next flight, but 76K for the year. Congrats, that's a lot of time in the air.

123K EQM for 12.5K EQD yes, but otherwise you can accrue a lot more EQMs if spending primarily in F and J

Are they doing welcome kits for 2021? Or is it like everything else now, and purely digital?

Only a e-mail for me making EXP for 2021..... The welcome kits went unused by me in prior years, so maybe AA not sending them saves some bucks.

Thanks, though a fair amount of those EQM came from flying alliance partner F flights. Happy to have prequalified when I did, even if I didn't have to by then; I will have had no AA flights from the end of April until I start flying again, likely in September sometime.

I actually liked them for the employee recognition coupons. Just a nice thing you can give to a FA that maybe helps them in their reviews, etc. I could use a new luggage tag as well. Guessing much like real glass in first class, they're never coming back. Anything American do to cut costs (in the name of activism) they will.

I am at $9.3K eqd and 94 segments and 79,997 miles. I have the AA card that gives $3K eqd and that should post this month--so basically requalified--will make it all official on Friday when I go STL-BOS

13th year in a row! $15,898 EQDs, 81,557 EQMs with 51 segments. Turns out didn't need the $3000 bonus. Believe it or not, I have not missed an upgrade this year.

Out of curiosity where were your travels, and work or pleasure? (I assume not to Zimbabwe.)

Unfortunately have cancelled 2 planned trips to there this year. Gonna try again for December.

Mostly work with my own company. MIA, SJO, and LAX with the family. International usually makes up the majority of my travels, but SJO has been the only one so far this year. :-( Sure hope things regain some sanity soon.

Requalified for EXP on a flight from DFW to PHX yesterday. Currently at 83.2K EQM's and 12.8K EQD's. For my rewards, I picked two 30,000 RDM's for a total of 60,000 additional reward miles. I'm now sitting on approximately 3.5 million RDM's. Since my account is quite active, they have no real expiration date. However, my life definitely has a "use by date". Time to start spending those RDM's!
