Funny, only that AC's are considered restaurants per TABC rules vs. bars. They must sell a lot of paninis and other sandwiches . Is it an alcohol sale, if given free as part of the membership benefits? I guess not..

There are actual alcohol sales for premium drinks. IME most don't partake in those though and go for the complimentary items.

Of course, and as I was alluding to, most go for the "free" drinks, or have drinks chits for "premium" drinks..

Drinks are not "free!" However, they may be included for no additional charge.... Alternatively, if you are paying for an AC membership, you have already prepaid for your drinks. Again, not "free!"

It is being reported: Premium drinks - one might assume this includes bottles of water - are not available with chits or boarding pass any more. Premium drinks are sold only, and well drinks are still free. Yet another benefit thrown out with the bath water.

Yes, but per your earlier inference, it's an easy way to justify a "% of alcohol sales" factor, if that matters.

Redeye PHX-MIA . . . PHX club at A7 has posted hours of 8 am to 5 pm - yeah missed that by about six hours. At MIA D30 now, lots of space, certainly better than hanging out in the shopping mall, I mean terminal.

We will be at the MIA location later today, did they have the soda machine open? Looking to see if we can still fill out water bottles with ice and water like before. I guess can always ask for a glass with ice and water but would need a couple of those.

There is no self-serve anything. They will bring you beverages. Food consists of packaged cheese cubes and cookies.

Meanwhile go take a look at what the Delta SkyClubs are offering in the DL forum.....seems like gourmet cuisine compared to AA clubs :/

Between the DL SC (of which I’m a paying member too), inflight now serving wine in FC & C+ and middle seat blocking I might be giving DL my business for a while now over AA.

How quickly the tides can change!

I will say that if we hadn't been using points for our current flights, I would have given my money to delta as well. The empty middle seat is king (not so much for covid) but for space on a long flight.

It seems like in some clubs, you go to the bar and pick up drinks while in others, servers bring them to you. Is that accurate?
Also surprised that they didn't open the B club at DFW given the large number of regional jet operations. There is no club for those pax who have to make a long walk or annoying train ride to A. Are there at least places selling to-go wine/beer in DFW if you can't walk all the way to the lounge?

I have 5 day passes to burn through by the end of 2020, and I thought about using one on a 2 hour layover I have in PHX next week, from 4:30 PM to - 6:30 PM. I just saw that the lounge closes at 5 PM. It appears that there is still an evening connection bank, so I wonder why they are not staying open later.

Can't speak to B, but there is definitely to-go alcohol available in A & the E satellite gates in DFW (although I'm not sure how this was affected with the recent order to shut down the bars).
