ORD-LAX Flat Bed

I see ORD-LAX having the 777 occasionally on the calendar. Is there any way to see what dates there will be a 777 on the route? I have to fly it some time in April and would love to catch it if possible!

Just keep checking. Remember that just because it does appear on the schedule does not mean that it won't be subbed out.

I believe you can search ITA Matrix by equipment type one month at a time (by specifying EQUIPMENT T:772 T:773 in the Advanced Control field).

Check the AA Widebody cargo schedules.

For example, in March there appears to be a daily 772 ORD-LAX. April should be added within the next week or so.

April schedule has been updated and you should be able to see which flight(s) are schedule to be operated by a 777.

There is a good trip report in another thread. Daytime flight, but it will give you a sense of what was recently on offer.

Well - this post seems to be a 77W running Flagship First MIA-LAX. The 772 J seats will be smaller, and for ORD-LAX, there won't be menus or hot meals onboard. It will be a snack box/sandwich kinda thing. Obviously much better than 738/321, but the experience isn't that premium

One thing you should keep in mind is that AA has two different 777-200 seat types, Reverse Herringbone B/E super diamond seats and the dreaded front/rear alternating Zodiac seats. Within a few days of departure, the plane's registration (I think that's what it's called) will update on flightradar24. Using that registration, you can see which 777 seat type you'll end up getting. The link I've been using is noted below.
