I can only speak to experiences re-entering the US from Mexico and the DR, but you don't need it IMO. The priority check-in lines are not long and the agent just looks at your docs. I've noticed the main check-in line has some separate check-in desks for the verify app users - so in theory it could save a bit of time.

I notice that they updated the checklist page for Guatemala last night to include a place to upload your vaccination certificate as you can now travel there if you are fully vaxed (as I am), but they still haven't reviewed my Covid test results. Based on some of the responses here I think I will just not bother with the app and bring the paperwork with me, as I'm sure I would have needed to do that anyway.
It's a shame it doesn't work very well, but I'm sympathetic since keeping on top of the changing requirements of many destinations can't be easy.

I think the long term goal is to have an electronic repository that is verifiable. It is so easy to forge a sheet of paper or a CDC vaccine card (literally a hand written sheet of paper) that there will need to be a new solution long term for countries that plan on having entry restrictions.

I'm flying AUS-DFW-LHR-DUB tomorrow and set up DFW-LHR and LHR-DUB in the app. Sounds like I'll still need to show the paper in AUS. It may help me in LHR for the DUB flight though. We'll see.

Worked great yesterday in San Jose del Cabo (sort of). Hard to take pictures (picky on background (use pillow behind head), picky on light (can't have 1/2 face in shadow so need to look toward the ocean)). Picky on verification (my first name was spelled as Stezen on the test results, would not accept, had to call hospital to send new test result with correct spelling). But their customer service answered the phone and reviewed the results and got them approved. Then, when we got to the airport, it was like magic. Whisked to the premier line (everyone else was blocked until they filled out multiple forms) and the ticket agent was very happy to see it (saved lots of time).

Well I followed through and uploaded my vax certificate and Verifly approved it within minutes... I filled out the final questions and got the 'approved to fly' seal of approval. Will see if it makes any difference at the airport.... Weds morning in PHX in Priority isn't ever going to be a problem anyway, although it might be different story on the return flight out of GUA. I will chat with the check-in agent (after all, PHX is America's FRIENDLIEST airport) and pick his/her brain for their thoughts on Verifly.
One thing they did miss was the requirement to fill out and print the Pase de Salud for Guatemala. I would guess that could be done on arrival though so not an AA requirement for travel.
Now what would have REALLY been cool was if I could go to the AA site and get my boarding passes and be all ready to go... lol
Or really REALLY cool if they could validate the vax cert and keep it stored online for future flights.... lol x100

When you say you followed through, what do you mean? I'm now at 14 hours since I uploaded my CVS negative anitgen test cert, and haven't received any approval. I'm not confident they'll approve before I have to check in for my first leg, which is like 7 hours before my flight to LHR.

I called up Verifly to see if they could push up my COVID test review since I have to check in around 7 hours before DFW-LHR leg of my flight. They told me the process 6 hours before and there's no way to do it faster. I tried to explain that I needed validation before hopping on the first leg of my flight (mainly I wasn't sure my antigen test would work) and she just kept saying "it doesn't work that way, we process 6 hours before your DFW flight". So yeah, the software is pointless and I ended up getting a second nucleic acid test (NAAT) from a different provider for $200 just to be safe. I guess, assuming they accept the test I provided, it'll help when I get to the gate at DFW, but pointless for checking in to the first leg of my flight.

My contact with Verifly indicated that their app works only for nonstop flights, and not in situations in which you transit a third location that might have different requirements. In my mind, this makes it rather useless for a large number of travelers who would be connecting through places like LHR.

I'd be interested in hearing how your experience was.
