AA Plat Exec on Iberia Basic Fare (with Companion)

Apology in advance as I searched and read through many threads and I'm still super confused.

So, I bought a basic fare on Iberia's website (roundtrip direct BOS-BCN) for 6 passengers on one PNR. I am the only one with status (AA Executive Platinum). I understand that Basic does not have luggage allowance and seat selection. But do I get anything by being Exec Plat (OneWorld Emerald)? How about companions on my PNR? Thanks.

Iberia is beyond inconsistent. However, at a general level you should be able to check-in at the Business Class counter, standard lounge benefits, but for boarding, Iberia is always a huge mess. Often I have been skipped in line by non-status, non-Business Class passengers in Boston (IB usually gets a corner gate with very inefficient boarding lanes). Good luck!

Best asked in the Iberia forum, as a one world emerald status holder.

My recollection is that you do. Important to have status on the boarding card, easy in revenue, requires booking yourself as ďotherĒ, (not self) if an award.

but since I havenít flown them in almost a year, itís dated info.
