I think that if you are getting a credit for the price difference after booking the flight, American is still sending the traditional voucher. I used a credit to book a flight last week and still had $13 left from the credit. They said that the $13 would be sent to me as a voucher. I got it about 48 hours later. It's a traditional voucher with the long number and the 4-Digit pin.

What exactly does the "expiration date" indicate for these? Is it:
1) The date you have to rebook by
2) The date travel must start by, or
3) The date travel must be completed by?

Are you sure? American's site says for flight credit "Travel must begin 1 year from the date of issue.*"
With the * showing this: *Flight Credits issued for flights canceled due to COVID-19 can be used for travel through December 31, 2021.
What I'm wondering, if I were to book an AA flight, say tomorrow, during their covered fee waiver period, for a trip in December. Could I cancel it at any-point and use the value towards a new ticket for travel until the end of 2021? Or would I need to use the value for a trip that ends less than a year from tomorrow since AA wasn't the one that cancelled the flight?

Now I'm getting disappearing values from my wallet. The ticket numbers and expiration date show, but no value. On one, there is a value when I click through but not on the other two.
A pain.

$350 AA Vacation cert in wallet?
I just noticed this thread, and decided to check to see what's in there. I don't have any flights/tickets/plans/res with AA, but noticed they put in an AA Vacations cert for $350 off $2500 package.for travel to 12/20/21. Probably will be able to use that next year, assuming I can return home to BKK without the 14 day quarantine, also, assuming people in the US start acting responsibly and wearing masks and doing the social distance thing. I know-too much to ask as there's too much ME in A-ME-rica. My Thai GF's account didn't have one, but she is base member status while I have LT PLT.

Flight Credit in AA Wallet expiration extend
Can I extend a electronic flight credit in my AA wallet if I use a portion of the credit for a new flight? Will the remainder of the flight credit amount in my AA wallet be extended?
