All long-haul routes out of Charlotte will see the 777-200ER.

All long-haul routes of out Philadelphia will see the 787-8 aside from KEF with the A321neo and LHR with the 777-200ER. PHL-LHR will be the first scheduled AA 772 route out of PHL.

Berlin, Dubrovnik, Edinburgh, and Shannon will see the American 787 scheduled for the first time. Notably, PHL to Athens and Dubrovnik are scheduled to resume on March 28, 2021 (originally June), but this isn't available for booking yet despite availability for other routes going into mid-April.

Just to note before anyone panics, these are just the changes to aircraft operations, and that flights out of PHL already slated to operate with 787-8 (PHL-AMS, for example) are (I presume) still expected to continue as such when they resume service.

What is happening with all those 330's now that they are not flying out of PHL?

That's a pretty huge increase in seats for international flying out of CLT. I would be somewhat surprised if that actually looks like that come 2021.

A333s are retired.
A332s are stored till at least 2022. (and might never return)

It's a 26 seat difference, but most of that is in business class - J/W/Y is 37/24/212 on the 772 versus 20/21/206 on the 332. 772s going to CLT and 788's going to PHL (rather than the other way around) is interesting to me for that reason. I'm sure it has to do with only wanting to open 1 base of each type, and PHL does get a lot more of the smaller seasonal destinations than PHL. Maybe the final mix will have some -9s thrown in at PHL.

I still haven't learned how to multi-quote, but the 330-300s are gone for good (they were a good bit older and had an oddball engine type for AA). The company has actually said the 330-200s are financed a ways out in such a way that they can't be disposed of (hence the long-term storage rather than retirement)...

Will AA continue to operate PHL to BUD, LIS, MAN and ZRH? I think I remember seeing ZRH going to a B788, but not sure about the other routes.

Use the “multi” feature to the right of the regular quote button. Only use the quote button on the last post you want to quote.

Where are all these 777-200ERs being pulled from?
I suppose some of these are rotations involving new 787s coming in.

Looks like ORD is no longer all 787 base. We have been spoiled by Dreamliners for a couple of years here.

Thanks! I've tried in the past but couldn't figure out the last step!

I would be very surprised if all of these flights either resume and/or see 777s ex CLT.

AA scheduling might have just coded all A330s to automatically be switched to 777s from CLT as a placeholder.

Yes likely, these are just aircraft changes for each route.

Both MAN and ZRH have been operating as 788 before COVID and are set to resume on the 788 later this year.

PHL-LIS will be on the 787-8 upon resuming in March 2021, but I guess Airlineroute didn't pick it up.

BUD and CMN weren't shown in this for some reason.

Ditto this question. If I counted right, it seems like 15 new flight pairs (eastbound + westbound) are scheduled on the 772 next summer, each requiring one frame to operate. I have no idea where so many 772s will be coming from--I'd tend to think they'd be pulled off some JFK TATL flights (currently all 772 except for a couple 77Ws to LHR) or maybe some MIA flights to deep SA (owing to winter season), whether in the form of equipment swaps on these routes or cancellations/frequency reductions altogether.

Some will likely be coming from Miami.

On March 28, 2021, MIA-GIG will drop from 1x 772 and 1x 788 to just 1x 788.

MIA-SCL will switch from the 772 to the 788 on the same day.
