19 J seats per day from the entire US to GIG and 38 to SCL for nine months in a year? If this holds, this airline seems to be retreating from South America, contrary to their stated plans to be an aggressive competitor in the wake of the DL/LA tie-up.

If a 788 replaces an A332, it’s an overall decrease in Economy seats but increase in Premium Economy seats by 7. J remains the same.
If a 788 replaces a 757 and maintains the same frequency, it’s an increase of 4 J seats, introduces 28 Premium Economy seats, and increases Economy by around 30.
If a 788 replaces a 767 or A333 route, decrease of 8 J seats but introduces 28 PE. 788 replacing A333 overall sees a net decrease of around 60 total seats.
With PHL-LHR seeing the 772, the flight will have an increase of 9 J seats and introduce 24 W seats per flight.
So overall... PHL-LHR becomes more premium with the 777-200ER, ex-A332 routes gain 8 more PE, ex-767/A333 lose 8 J seats when replaces with the 787-8.
AA still plans to increase MIA-GRU to 3x daily and MIA-SCL to 2x daily in the winter. However, when Spring 2021 comes, it looks like there will be some decreases in South American capacity out of MIA.

I was scheduled to fly SJU-CLT on March 28th on the 772 and connect onto ORD. I had to cancel because my Southern Caribbean Cruise was cancelled. It was a great Y-UP fare too.
Looking back at my deleted Award Wallet history, it is indicating the equipment was an A332. The ticket was purchased September 30, 2019 and I thought the 772 was scheduled then. I am second guessing myself now because it was a non-refundable fare but was eligible for a refund. In that case, either the flight was cancelled by AA or it was an equipment change. I deleted the original confirmation email. I might be (probably, most likely) incorrect.

Airline industry, global economic conditions, and demand for international travel have all changed quite a bit since the DL/LA tie-up...

Yes, but I'd say current network and fleet planning practices for 2021 suggest a return to "normalcy", or else you wouldn't be seeing all these CLT-EU flights loaded. Now, we all know that 2021 schedules are a placeholder for now, and that a lot can change between now and then, but at a minimum I'd say that these placeholders offer a glimpse into what AA thinks the "baseline" will be next year, from which it can tinker further as time goes on. My comment was directed at the fact that this baseline broadly involves a diminished US-SA presence (in the form of downgauged flights, particularly in premium cabins) in favor of upgauging CLT-EU flights, and that this runs counter to their stated ambitions in SA a few months ago.
