I have several itineraries over the next 10 months with legs scheduled for multiple retired aircraft types.

"Business Insider" is not an Airplane Flight Manual. Of course that particular 738 could have been half empty, though with fuel for EWR-DEN I kind of doubt it. If you want to believe that an article in the general media is dispositive on the nuances of comparative aircraft performance, that's your prerogative. As for me, my job occasionally requires careful study of aircraft perf data. I do this for a living. And I would not make blanket generalizations like 757s can always climb unrestricted to cruise altitude while 737NGs never can.

Edited to add: here's another 737NG on a fairly long flight for the type (OAK-HNL) that made it right up to FL400 in 20 minutes:

Flights from MIA/LIM were scheduled with A-321 and suddenly a new service with 787 was introduced on the late evening departure and two 757 flights departing on the afternoon with the possibility to book any seat in the 75L configuration again, seems they will be back for the rest of 2021.

I didn't realize the standard A321 could do MIA-LIM.

LIM is 116 miles closer from MIA than SEA is.

I assume that they still haven't updated their schedule.
This is an Expertflyer screenshot showing DFW-MIA flights the day I'm scheduled to fly.
There is 3 daily 757 flight ( + 1 daily 767 ) scheduled for September and they should be updating the aircraft types soon. Btw, I am not booked on one of the 757 services.

I posted a link with a quote from a 757 captain who had also recently flown in the cockpit of a 737 where he directly compares their engine performance. You're posting links to flightaware where you have NO IDEA of the actual load or anything else involved on those particular flights; but again tell me how you're the expert?

I know the fuel load for that SWA flight in question: enough to get a B738 from OAK to HNL!

I actually didnt find those tan LAA 757 seats that comfortable.....they were like blocks with no contouring or support.......the S80 FC seats were my favorite for a domestic FC seat product

I enjoyed the tan 757 seats myself, but damn were the Super 80 F seats comfortable. I still haven't sat in a more comfortable domestic F seat.

I agree with this. I flew the old tan seats quite a bit and just never found them to be that comfortable and the lack of an adjustable headrest was quite problematic for longer flights. The S80 seats were definitely the best and the old 738 seats that replaced the tan seats weren't bad either.

Actually, it's an A321neo, not standard A321. The standard A321 doesn't have enough range. Out of range.

Its the same length as BOS-LAX (which AA also flies with an A321), but without the headwind component as its a North-south Route. So it shouldnt be an issue.

MIA-LIM is scheduled on the regular A321, not the NEO.

As expected, next winter's DFW-EGE 757 schedules were replaced with A319 during this past Saturday night's schedule updates.
