As of 9/21:

Flights under 900 miles
  • Water, canned drinks and juice by request only
  • No snacks, alcohol or food available in the Main Cabin
  • Alcohol available in First by request only
Flights between 900 and 2,199 miles / up to 4.5 hours

In the Main Cabin – includes Premium Economy and Main Cabin Extra

  • Complimentary pretzels or Biscoff cookies and bottled water during boarding*
  • No snacks, alcohol or food for purchase
  • Water, canned drinks and juice by request only

In First:

  • Complimentary fresh snacks on flights departing between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m.*
  • Complimentary pretzels or Biscoff cookies and bottled water during boarding*
  • Drinks, including alcohol, by request only
  • No drinks served before departure
*Not available on American Eagle flights.

Flights over 2,200 miles* / over 4.5 hours

In the Main Cabin – includes Premium Economy and Main Cabin Extra

  • Complimentary pretzels or Biscoff cookies and water, canned drinks or juice during the flight
  • No snacks or food for purchase
  • No alcohol or meals except on long-haul international flights

In First and Business:

  • Complimentary fresh snacks on flights departing between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m.
  • Complimentary pretzels or Biscoff cookies and water, canned drinks or juice during the flight
  • Meals served on one tray, not in courses**
  • No drinks served before departure
  • Alcohol will be available
*Includes transcontinental and Hawaii.

**Some domestic and short-haul international flights will include a fruit and cheese plate instead of tray meal service and will also have snack basket service before landing.

cmd320 notation (unofficial): the 2,200mi + section for F and J is a bit misleading. Domestic flights within the continental US other than premium transcons (JFK-LAX/SFO, MIA-LAX on 77W) do not receive a full meal and instead only see a sandwich/fruit and cheese plate.

fly747first notation (official) MIA LAX on 772 receives full meal and amenities as Flagship Business except for lounge access

Well Envoy followed it last weekend when I flew to Daytona Beach. No PDB though. Only mixed nuts comes from an overpriced feedbag from Hudson News.

So I've read the Wiki and tried to follow, but I'm a little confused by our flights (we're in First)
ALB-ORD on 6/3/21 (flight #4295)
Says it's operated by Envoy Air as American Eagle.

Also have DCA-ALB on 6/11/21 (flight #4375)
Says it's operated by PSA Airlines as American Eagle.

So does that qualify as "American Eagle" then (from the AA disclaimer that what they state doesn't apply)?
And if so, does that mean you truly get nothing in terms of snacks? (drinks=yes on request?)

From my gathering, American Eagle is usually not going to have anything, but confused about the actual operating airline though.

Yes, we'll survive regardless, just trying to set expectations and plan accordingly.

PSA/Piedmont/Envoy are pretty good with a beverage service. All 3 are wholly owned by AA.

View from the Wing reports that snack basket is returning on 6/1/21 for F

What's the difference between Fresh Snacks (now) vs. Snack Basket (6/1/21)?

Yeah I was hoping that "fresh snacks" meant like muffins/croissants/sandwich instead of bags of sodium (popcorn/chips). Delta *used* to have a "breakfast cookie" that I think was oatmeal something and fairly decent.

I’ll still take it. Routes like SFO-PHX have been getting no food for far too long.

Yep. Certainly better than the nothing that we've been getting on <900 flights.

Full drink service in first, along with an AA-branded snack mix on a sub 500 mile Envoy flight today. Not bad

I flew F on AA 3230, LAX-SEA yesterday, got one glass of wine and nothing--nada, as a snack. Not even a pretzel. FAs pretty much hid behind their galley curtain and waited it out.

Should probably fly AS to SEA, food selection and better timings.

Not that you should have to, but did you ask for a snack bag? IME, during the COVID era sometimes being a little more proactive is necessary - especially on a regional flight.

It would appear 3230 was a Skyworst flight. That explains everything. They have, with minor exception, been pitiful throughout the pandemic and a true embarrassment to the AA brand.

this is a sad update since sub 500 mile flights don’t get the snack basket. 82 mile flights used to get it, and now they get nothing. Some of these flights in this category are over an hour. Cost cutting continued, very sad.
