Angry Flight Cancel / Cancellation / Cancelled/ Delay / Diversion 2020 (master thread)

We were booked on 693 HNL-PHX on Saturday night the 11th. We had checked in online and then received email alerts of a schedule change. Our 11:21 pm departure was changed to 12:30 pm Sunday afternoon. The inbound flight operated on Sunday morning instead of Saturday afternoon. AA rerouted us on UA to get us home yesterday. The revised 693 schedule would have required staying overnight in PHX before continuing to our final destination.

Our flight to HNL on the 6th was delayed about 2 hours, due to late arrival of the aircraft from CLT. It was a great flight in spite of the delay.

AA194 today 2/8/20 Canceled?

Anyone know why it canceled? N786AN is sitting adjacent to runway 26 at PHX; kind of a weird place to be parked.

According to Expert Flyer weather was the reason.

Looks like a big storm is anticipated for London this weekend.

Last night (Feb 7, 2020) 136 was diverted to OHare due to a medical emergency.
My husband was on it and got moved to AA90 on Feb 8 as it was unclear if 136 would continue or not.
Not a good weekend to be flying to London.

Angry Why is flight AA2010 FLL TO CLT cancelled?

Everyone got COMPLETED <bleep> and AA is saying its because of WEATHER and every flight is cancelled... it's <bleep>. the inbound plane left CLT to FLL late before they even cancelled the flight at 5pm.

AA won't even delay that flight from FLL to CLT and their only option is to rebook passengers at 8:00am next day without playing for Hotel, Meals, ETC because it's because of weather... I don't understand how they can legally do this.... I just booked another flight from FLL to CLT on spirit.. No Delays, no issues... Oh and AA REFUSED to book me on spirit. I had to do it on my own and hope AA refunds me for my ticket.

Coming from United Gold to try AA... WOW.. talk about a horrible airlines....

First, I don't think Spirit interline with any other airline and so AA will not be able to rebook you on their service.

Second, I think there a area with bad weather near CLT. I am not sure is it the case here, but in Europe, the ATC will ask the airline to cancel certain percentage of the service during bad weather when the capacity of the airspace is reduced.
