ok so close to 4 years on Southwest and I try AA 2501 on Friday. As usual a non rev has boarded early and taken bin space. Now a paying customer has to put bags 10 rows back ? And of course the non rev has seat 26K ie isle with no seats in front of home. Note on my last Southwest flight the nonrev gave ip a seat and move into a jump seat. LUV ya southwest !

How do you know it was a non-rev, also in order to jump seat one must be a pilot or flight attendant.

Most people don't know what non-rev even means... my guess is that its a commuting employee requiring space positive.

Question

Ya'ever wonder who/what the common denominator might be in these "non-rev's are ruining my life" experiences?

Why pay for Premium Economy when you can get it for free ?

AA Premium Economy and AA Non-Rev in PE

Why we waste our money on Delta is beyond me?

My favorite commentblueflyer3

This feels like a bit of an overreaction IMO. How exactly does one drink wine with "arrogance, condescension and conceit"?

The common denominator seems to be US airlines are garbage. But we’re stuck with what the government gives us.

I believe there is a market in between. There’s just very little competition.

How much luggage did they have that would require bins to be full for the 10 rows?

Arrogant, condescending, and conceited, especially when drinking a glass of wine?
I read that in a post somewhere.

Since those 2019 posts I have tried to up my game but I have not yet managed the trifecta of “arrogance condescension and deceit” while drinking wine. I am not a non rev with 10 rows of baggage which makes it more upsetting that I can only master 2 of 3 at a time. Many glasses of wine have been slaughtered in this quest but I will not give up.

Non-Revs shouldn’t be preboarding as far as I know per AA rules, but I still see them preboarding not in uniform with their lanyards and credentials around their necks....saw this recently.

How did you know they were non-revs vs AA employees travelling on positive space for duty travel purposes
Or did they have a "non rev" Tee shirt?
