CAN-LAX using AA miles to book CZ F

Hello, I am trying to book CZ327 CAN-LAX in F using AA award miles.
EF shows F2 for the flight in question, with 4 open seats.
I called AA and they told me no availability.
Is this a function of CZ not releasing those seats to AA or should I HUCA?
A nearly identical scenario worked properly for me last week.
Thanks.

Always HUCA. There are some clueless agents out there.

Then, try Fiji (Australia or New Zealand numbers). If they can see it, you can put it on hold, finish booking it online.

Are you sure F is an award bucket here? And one available to partners?

I think so. It worked for a different agent on a different flight, but the last 3 agents I have called have been unable to do it.

I went on the Delta website and there's no availability in F or J for that flight. There are seats available in economy. It's most likely CZ isn't releasing premium award space for that flight.

Thanks everyone, for your input.
HUCA was the solution. The 6th agent I called was able to take care of this in under 5 minutes.

DL never has F award space on partner carriers - there is no such thing as an F award using Skypesos, alas.

Must be a HUCA record.
Were you able to ascertain what the agent may have done differently from his/her predecessors?

Absolutely not!
I even asked about this issue specifically and described the previous 5 phone calls.
She just chuckled and said 'that's my job, happy to help.'
