No business seats available AA263 DFW-PEK Mar 2 if connecting to CAN?
 

Has anyone else experienced difficulty in booking AA business class on DFW-PEK flights, if they have a subsequent connection on an AA/CZ flight?

e.g. I am trying to book DFW-PEK-CAN. I can book business class on March 2 DFW-PEK (AA263) on AA and on March 3 PEK-CAN (AA7102/CZ3122) on CZ, if I do so independently, but only get an option for premium economy if I try to book DFW-PEK-CAN on AA.

EF shows plenty of seats on both flights.

What am I doing wrong?

Just checking on EF for DFW-CAN connecting in PEK and EF is showing J0 R0 D0 I0 for the PEK-CAN sector on the AA codeshare

Using AA for DFW-PEK with CZ (not codeshare) is showing J9 C0 D0 I0 for PEK-CAN , so would be bookable but expensive

are the filed J-cabin fares to CAN cheaper than PEK?
