Flights with Confirmable SWUs at Booking

Recently I became EXP again and it seems that C space for upgrades with SWUs are a lot tighter than before. What international long-haul routes (any date and any route) have you seen confirmable upgrade space on recently? Ideally mid-February, early May, late June, or late August, but I'm extremely flexible as the upgrades expire next year; I just want to book something now and be done with it. Thanks!

I'm headed DFW-LHR and back in Feb. Cleared my SWU on booking 2 weeks ago.

They exist, just not as abundant as 5 years ago.

I've seen a lot of availability to GRU (Sao Paulo Brazil) if that interests you.

I suggest an Expertflyer.com subscription...helped me easily find C space. I found a lot of C (C7) JFK-LHR in late December 2019 and return in early to mid January 2020. The phone agent was surprised when SWU outbound and return both cleared immediately..I'm visiting London as we speak...my return date still shows C7 for several flights. Good luck

I'm sitting on 8 SWU's expiring at the end of this month. How do I give them away on confirmable upgrades. I would like to gift them to Flyertalkers on international itineraries.

PHL-AMS had some February availability earlier this week when I booked and upgraded a trip for myself.

It's not the most beautiful time to visit Amsterdam, but it can be a good time to visit the museums when the crowds aren't as bad as they are the rest of the year.

Used LAX-LHR last week and a few weeks ago for early February, showed quite comfortable availability on the 777ER and 772

I was able to book SNA-DFW-CDG both ways for early April (well the long haul segments cleared). There was C2 available out and C7 available back at booking.

LAX-PEK and LAX-PVG have been pricing very cheap, often less than $500 RT. Just returned from an open jaw LAX-PEK / PVG-LAX. Was able to confirm two LAX-PEK SWUs at booking last fall for early Dec, cleared two for return from PVG on day of flight / at gate. Expertflyer is the way to go.

It is hard to find - especially without an EF subscription - but I booked LAX-LHR return for February with SWU's confirmed at booking (booked around Thanksgiving) - and there was lots of availability via different routes then.

I also got a Saaver J award from MFR-PHX-DFW-LHR in October at 1 week's notice - and booked into business class on every segment.

We have two return flights booked, both showed SWUs available when booking.

Jan 22 - LHR to JFK
Jan 26 - JFK to LHR
Mar 23 - LHR to LAX
Mar 30 - LAX to LHR

2 people using a total of 8 SWUs across the 4 flights.
