End of year: Slowly whittled down my AA footprint

It’s been a long while coming but my AA elite status is gone after next month . I will go from GLD to just one of the masses. It’s a very sad day for me. The run has been pretty good and I've enjoyed all the levels of AA ELITE status, but I’ve moved over most of my travel to AS for the following reasons:

1) I transferred homebase from ORD to SFO
2) did mostly West Coast travel the past few years
3) AA ended freq flyer sharing with AS
4) could never get a PLAT upgrade on AA at SFO

life is pretty good as an AS MVP GOLD...for now. I Expect my transcon travel pick up next year so I may be back to AA quickly since AS network isn’t the best.

The AA forum is the best...great knowledge sharing...I learned a lot...I will miss the insights!
