AA potentially closing accounts due to credit card churning/churn

Has the consensus settled on this kerfuffle being limited to mailers/offers addressed to third parties? I.e., 5 SUBs in a year is fine, provided that they are public offers?

Also, are there continued enforcement actions occurring, or has everyone who's in trouble already gotten the notice?

I ask because I have a number of major trips planned, and may transfer in Marriott points for premium cabin redemptions, but want to be confident that I'm in the clear before I transfer them in. I've done everything by the books, but earned 4-5 SUBs over the past year.
