Just got home from Thailand last night and officially Done flying AA for the year. I squeezed into maintain EXP for another year!!!! WooHooo!!!! :D

Perfect timing on both EQDs AND EQMs. :)

(I will add another $3k EQDs with my AA Silver Card on Dec 26th, though. ;)

Barring any surprises, only another 12 EQSs and about $2K EQDs to go. Looking forward to a couple of weeks away from an ER4 seat.

Down quite a bit compared to last year - ended up booking maybe ⅓ of my overseas travel (mostly business, one trip in First) on other airlines when it was more convenient/direct instead of blindly following AA/oneworld this year.

I'm only on target for renewing Plat. But if anyone has creative ways for me to earn another 14,000 EQMs cheaply to get to PP, please chime in. I already have the required EQD's, and I checked the buy up page to no avail....

Platinum for me hasn't been bad this year. I have to say my two biggest benefits have been the Flagship lounge on a few trips to Central America, and the ability to grab good MCE seats at time of booking.

My business travel routes are usually ~1200 mile mid-con flights on A319's with 8F or E175's with 9F cabins that are filled with ExPlts and paying passengers. I deduce this because sometimes I pay the extra $180 to be in F for my return trips to get a confirmed seat up front on my ride home after a long week, and the upgrade list is huge. So... not so sure that as a PP I would get much of a leg up. I haven't spent much $$ buying upgrade chits this year either. I've been able to use them on strategically planned flights as I've been earning them on paid flights.

After declaring myself a free agent last year, I found myself flying OneWorld again. Despite flying 26 segments, only eight of them were on AA. I flew mostly Qatar and CX this year.
