$6459- 50,019- 24

Only really flew through March and missed my peak business travel season in the fall due to a job change. 35k of the eqm and 4500 of the EQD came from a single QR vacation credited to AA so I scraped by Plat for another year.

next year will shoot for exp for the first time as the new job is going to bring me some overseas travel hopefully

N/a

3,911 EQDs

23,897 EQMs

22.5 segments

Last work trip of the year got switched to a WebEx so I'm gonna miss AA Gold. Not paying $335 to buy up status.

A rather infrequent flyer I see -

That’s too much time on the ground

Specific and de-facto responsibility changes during the year boosted me for 2019 when this was the last year I expected to be EXP. So, I qualified for the tenth year in a row (first year was a gimme during bankruptcy where I didn't quite make it). The downer was that much of my new travel was to the pacific northwest and Denver from the NY area (or as part of a business trip that started in SF). As a result, I picked up 42,308 miles from AS, UA and DL. Otherwise this would have been a +150k EQM / $30K year for AA. The stats:

EQM 115,637
EQD $20,330 (first year over $20k in a while)
EQS 64

I dropped to Plat Pro this year and will be lucky to make Gold next year......I don't have much dedication to AA as I am tired of the on-time issues.

4/5 on SWU/Miles+$

Was lucky enough to spend much of my college junior spring thru senior fall in the air. Vast majority of the miles and spend accrued on various int'l trips for conferences and research — all in Y. Currently:
EQD: $6,074
EQM: 82,172
EQS: 37

With two more segments on AY to go, I’ll finish the year with $6,681 / 88,243 / 39. Looking to raise these numbers after graduation in 2020.

I made gold comfortably and wished I had planned out to trips to europe this summer better because i missed out on Platinum by $1,335 (already have 51k miles so good there)
Oh well. This was as close as it was going to come for me for Plat ever. Gold is still much better than nothing!

This is a great (and undervalued IMHO) benefit of OW status if one travels on BA with any frequency. I have had all sorts of operational upgrades on BA, including J to F for 2 pax on award tickets. Obviously hard to predict.
