That's interesting. It kind of makes sense since web specials book into Y or J, but I doubt they want to allow you to change to any flight with Y or J availability, since that would be too easy to abuse. (AS allows you to SDC to any flight that has space in your class of service and I used to abuse the hell out of it)

I wonder what they are using behind the scenes to determine whether a SDC is allowed or not? This would be useful information.
