AA International and Domestic Check In Time Cutoff Questions

AA states intl checkin should occur 90 mins prior to departure. Is that a hard rule in the system that it would prevent you from checking in after T-90?

long story short, I have a suffix in my name on my passport and it never allows me to check in on the app for intl flights so I always just have to use the kiosk at the airport which works fine when I scan my passport.

I was like T-100 mins this morning so was close to the 90 mins. Just wondering what would happen after the 90 min cutoff?

You can still check in at most airports until T-60; it's just the website and app that cut you off at T-90.

The counter check-in deadline for international is T-60, not T-90. You were likely looking at the cutoff for OLCI. I am presuming BNA because you list that location. If your origin is elsewhere, check the website to assure that the T-60 applies.

Do bear in mind that T-60 means checked in, not waiting in line and that many stations are very tough about this.

To be frank, if you have a name issue which may take time to deal with and there is a longer than ordinary line at the counter, I would not mess around with the T-60 anyway.

I suggest you NEVER cut it that close. Just blame your parents for the suffix and additional hassle.

Thanks all. I was actually returning from MEX. They have tons of kiosks for Elites that are never occupied and the kiosk always works just fine to check in.

CDG is 75 minutes! I've been (almost) burned by that twice, but they've always been able to get around it.
