Award ticket: book companions into MCE?

Mods move this if more appropriate in another thread.

I am EXP and have only booked tickets for SO and myself. Going to book for SO, friend and my self tomorrow. Will I be able to get all of us in MCE?

If you book both SO and friend on your same PNR, yes (to do this at booking online). Otherwise a call is required to AA per the post below.

If only friend is booked on your PNR and SO finds out after having enjoyed the comforts of an Oasis cabin then MCE is the least of your worries.

You don't have to be on the same PNR to get companion(s) seated next to you in MCE or preferred seats. If they are on a different PNR then you just have to call AA.

Of course, but they do need to be on the same PNR for the checked luggage benefit
