Reason for delay AA 4342 IAH-MIA 3 Aug 2019?

My wife's flight on 8/3 was delayed by almost 5 hours. Can anyone here help me find out as to why? The agents wouldn't say. AA 4342 IAH-MIA was the flight.

That stuff rolls off the system pretty quick. You've left it a bit long to start asking.

Itís unfortunate you didnít try determining this the day or day after the flight.

Sorry I was out of the country in a rural area with no internet access and returned just recently. The agents at the gate wouldn't specify as to why. And when I look at sites like Flightaware it actually says on time (?) which it definitely wasn't.

Given the length of the delay they likely re-filed the flight plan with new departure and arrival times. From Flightaware's point of view the flight was on time.
