Exclamation Citi AAdvantage Cards: Major Reductions as of 22 Sep 2019

Message shown on Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard and Citi Prestige cards:

Effective September 22, 2019, Worldwide Car Rental Insurance, Trip Cancellation & Interruption Protection, Worldwide Travel Accident Insurance, Trip Delay Protection, Baggage Delay Protection, Lost Baggage Protection, Citi® Price Rewind, and 90 Day Return Protection will be discontinued and will no longer be provided for purchases made on or after that date. Coverage for purchases made before that date will continue to be available, and you may continue to file for benefits in accordance with the current benefit terms. Roadside Assistance Dispatch Service and Travel & Emergency Assistance will be discontinued and will not be available on or after September 22, 2019.

Quoted by TPG link
“As a cardmember, you will continue to receive a range of other card benefits including FICO® Credit Score, Citi® Identity Theft Solutions, and Citi Entertainment. In addition, we will soon be announcing exciting new card benefits.”

This reportedly applies to all Citi cards, with a partial exception for the Costco card, presumably because of Citi's contract with Costco.

Not good.

I’ve had to use the trip delay benefit twice lately due to AA issues... I am definitely going to consider cancelling this card even though I spend quite a bit (20k+/year) on it right now.

Definitely "Exciting" -- been considering dropping a card or two for a while now and if this is true and the benefits not replaced with something else, it will make the decision way easier
I assume the annual fee is not being reduced by 75% to compensate

from the quoted tpg article in the op post, “As of publish, we haven’t found a Citi card that doesn’t show a message noting removed benefits when you log-in to your account online.”
