Talking Doug Parker Wikipedia Page Profile, Photo Altered

It looks like Dougie is "looking fresh" in his new Wikipedia photo

Still live as of now:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_Parker

For when it finally gets taken down:

I don't think may here will disagree with the description posted in the screenshot...

I will never understand the fascination that a certain part of this forum has with Mr. Parker.

I mean the obsession is a little bit weird sometimes.

I love the literally vs figuratively internet debates.
Let the pedants rejoice!

So does Doug have support from the board & stockholders right now bc the airline is profitable and they have the cash to withstand a union fight that AA could win, or are they actively trying to fire him bc the stock price is down & the social media PR seems to be getting nasty?

I don't know if he has support or not, but AA has much lower margins and i believe much higher debt loads than the other 3 of the big 4 - being profitable is not necessarily a good thing if profits are well below where they could be.

It's all relative, right? He may not have been a bowlful of puppies, but at least he wasn't a bowlful of a dumpster fire of poop.

Closing this thread down for a few reasons:

- this forum is for topics related to AA, flying on AA, and the AAdvantage program.
- this thread has already quickly devolved into *several* off-topic tangents
