DFW Terminal E Satellite - Open 3 May 2019: 15 gates, Club to come
The DFW Terminal E Satellite gates are officially open as of today.

It features upgraded concessions, including a Dickey’s Barbecue Pit that’s already open and a Whataburger that is scheduled to open around the end of May. |
Finally DFW gets a Whataburger. The hike over there will suck, but it'll be worth it. Always amazed me that DFW didn't have one.

It seems like most airports are doing a good job of getting interesting local restaurants to open up airport locations but DFW is just "Here's a Dickies!" or "Let's open a Chili's in C right down the hall from the TGI Fridays!"

Although Whataburger is a good add... I'd rather have the irish pub. They had some unique menu items that you couldn't get anywhere else in the airport. |
Seems like the big news is Admirals Club in E. Surprised there is room for one in that little satellite. |

15 new gates sounds like a lot of new flights. Has there been a big announcement of new destinations and frequencies or are they just trickling out?
