Actually, you "only" need to fly 100K miles two months (in January and February) every other year until you die.

If you can requalify for EXP in 2 months, sure.

Maybe you'll die after doing that once, and it'll really be lifetime.

Probably, although double and triple EQM bonuses this year made it a little less murderous.

Newbie question about Million Miler Program

Hope this is the right spot to ask this question. If you book a flight that AA is offering double miles on (for example DFW to FRA), do the total miles count toward Million Miler status, or just the actual number of miles flown?

Thanks!

Hi CarolynAnn,

Welcome to FT! Only the base miles flown will count toward the Million Miler status.

Your post has now been merged with the consolidated thread.

Since last December, only actual flown miles count toward Million Miller qualification.

Neither. Like ckpeter said, only flown miles count towards the Million Miler counter. The double miles for the promo you signed up for are for RDM (redeemable miles) which you can use for award travel or upgrades.

You've come into the light, Carol Ann (bad joke, I know, but I couldn't help it).

Hahaha!

I've reached a new milestone in the AAdvantage programme... 1,3 MPTDM.

Slightly OT, but is there actually a double mile offer currently for DFW-FRA?

Current bonuses can be seen here - and it appears USA-Germany would produce double bonus miles on airberlin, JL on BOS-TYO, DFW - Garden City KS and a number of others - but I am not seeing DFW-FRA.
