Nicely written piece.
I am surprised though that the airline is willing to discuss the travel of another passenger so freely with a third party?

AA does seem to be one of the carriers that is reluctant to pay up under EC261
Just do make sure that you have initially lodged a claim at [email protected] and had it rejected there first

If you have an address in England, can easily deal with it using MCOL ; there is little chance that it would try to defend it once clearly detailed with the evidence that you have read terms etc and can reference it

Wasn't sure whether you had sent it to the specific EC261 claim email address. If you have, then respond back to that emai address clearly setting out the terms of why it owes it one last time together with the warning that if payment is not received that you will take action without further notice ; I can't see it trying to defend a claim once lodged and it knows that you arn't bluffing

I think the issue is we are claiming for €600 on article 7, both his denied flight segment (300) and his rebooked flight (303) for article 8, and a hotel and food and bus (£200) for article 9, which totals $1545. they are fighting extra hard

hmm I definitely haven’t sent anything to a specific claim address, I’ll look into that... although I have been sending the last few emails to every executive listed on the elliott.org site, so I cannot imagine it’s gone unseen by the whole lot.

Send the claim to [email protected] - if the people managing that email still refuse, then start proceedings - you do need to direct the claim to the right people, not just scattergun around addresses found on the internet
