At LGA, They're shuffling our gates like a deck of cards
I'm at LGA and on my 4TH gate of the evening
I'm so tired of the shuttle bus that I voluntarily walked between terminals and went through security again!
Started out at C5. Then to D something. Then to C1. Now I'm in a somewhat empty B terminal waiting for AA 4598 to depart (late).
This is ridiculous.
AA you should be better than this.

When some flights are not on schedule and there are a limited number of gates, it's a no-win situation for airlines. What do they do when a flight arrives and its assigned gate is already occupied (either because that other flight is late departing, or the inbound flight is early)? If they move the arriving flight to an unoccupied gate that's allocated to another flight that arrives before the currently-arriving aircraft departs, then that other flight must change gates as well, causing two flights' departing passengers to move gates in the terminal. But if they hold on the tarmac until the originally-assigned gate is free, then passengers complain and say "Why are they making us wait on the tarmac, when I can see several unoccupied gates! They should just park at one of those!"

I was at LGA a few weeks ago for the first time since the construction. In the true spirit of LGA it was a friggin mess. Anyway, the staff at the AC told me to head down to the bus once the inbound landed. I actually left 5 minutes before that. Get to the bus line which is really long and the agent said just one bus running. Also told me the AC doesn't know what they are talking about. AA only runs one bus at a time and that I should be heading to another concourse one hour before boarding. Luckily the flight to MIA boarded late so I was on time for boarding.
