Concierge Key Pronunciation
Hello AA forum,
I am a prior DL elite and WN elite now joining the ranks of the AA elite due to a relocation to PHL. Something I have to comment on is the awfulness of the term "Concierge Key" for no other reason than I have yet to hear a gate agent pronounce it correctly.... what gives?
Apologies if this has already been discussed

Do you mean they say con-see-AIRGE with an American G like in dodge, rather than a French G/zh sound like in triage?
Or are you one of those particularly nefarious characters who says con-see-AIR or con-see-AY to hypercorrect and sound hi-falutin'? If the latter, please see here etc. https://www.grammarphobia.com/blog/2016/10/concierge.html

All that I know is how some pax in Group 9 seem to think CK must include them for boarding. Between the Group 1 paxs blocking the boarding lane and the Group niner rushing like the a/c is pulling away any second I feel sorry for the CKs often getting stampede in the process.

It has taken up residence with the “U” from QANTAS.
But much of the time, I hear AA employees using “CK” or just “Key”.
Given a concierge is the “keeper of the keys”, it’s redundant anyway. Perhaps they should have stuck with “Admiral of the Flagship Fleet”.

Don't people understand if you say "See Kay"? OTOH, just how hard is the word concierge for someone who travels?

The final "syerZH/sjerʒ" sound can be difficult for native US speakers - so that's fine.
Much more often, I hear folks breaking it into 3 syllables.
