Email from AA: F/J Cabin Service Survey Mar 2019... fake?

got a email from AA that was in my spam folder... what do you think? real or fake... the email address seem ok, but than again..

.American Airlines is currently in the process of evaluating changes to our on-board service in the First and Business class cabins on many of our international flights. In order to continue to provide you with the services that you value and enjoy, we really need your help. The following survey will be asking about two aspects of your on-board experience and feedback will be used to help us enhance the service on these flights.American Airlines In-Flight Amenities Survey

The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete.

Thank you in advance for your participation! And, thank you for flying American Airlines!
Sincerely,

American Airlines Customer Research

That someone else got a legit email with exactly the same wording does not mean the one you got is not fake.

Did the email address you by full name and/or even advantage number?
What is the http address of the survey link?
What is the email address of the sender?

If in outlook open email and go to file and properties look at headers to see true sender email

If it's a pro-active accurate email about a delay, then yes, it's fAAke.

Given that the email has the word research spelled wrong... seems fake

Why bother with a survey? Isn't this quote attributable to the prescient Doug Parker:

"The most important thing to customers is that we deliver on our commitment to leave on time and get them to the destination as they have scheduled."

What exactly would a scAAmer do with your opinions about "enhancements" to AA's onboard product? I'm pretty sure I could figure out most people's responses from their posts on this board anyway...

Maybe if they offered you an AAirpass for a fee, then it might be time to worry about being scammed.

I can't get the survey to open. Can someone fill it out for me? My SSN is 123-45-6789 and my bank account # is 987654321.

I took OPs survey for him. Just asked a bunch about wines on board.

My guess is its research being done by a rogue competitor.

No PII exchanged or asked for.
