Same day flight change or standby

I have a flight at 1:22A from Denver to Miami and I am
curious if I am allowed to do a same day flight change or standby for a flight that leaves at 11:32P the night before (less than 2 hours before but technically on a different day).

I will be at the airport as this flight is taking off but I am unsure if it will qualify as a same day flight change before technically it is on a different calendar day even though it is just 2 hours.
