Rusty Wallace, former NASCAR champion, next to me on Monday PHL-CLT. I had just watched a YouTube doc about the 94 Daytona 500, and Rusty's speech in that drivers meeting is legendary.

An AA celebrity on my flight from DFW to SAN this morning. I’m on a legacy AA A-321 and once I sat down in 2D and looked at the welcome screen saver of the flight attendant, I realized she looked familiar. Lo and behold, the very elegant looking Angela on my seat back screen saver is the same very elegant looking flight attendant Angela that is serving 1st class today. I’ve flown a lot and never had this happen before so I thought it was neat; far more fun for me than the actual movie stars I’ve seen onboard over the years.

Conan O’Brien in FFD at JFK today, about 3:15pm. Was taking the 4pm JFK-SFO flight. Said hi to me as I just happened to be looking his way as he sat down. Seemed nice, thanked the wait staff and apologized for dirtying a whole place setting when all he wanted was a glass of wine.

what I think I liked most, is that the other patrons and I recognized him (I know at least one other patron did), but left him alone. He headed to the flight with VIP services, but donned a pair of sunglasses before walking out the door.

As if his hair isn’t a dead giveaway.

Maybe I misunderstand what you're saying but I don't think it's that unusual. I've seen many A Listers in lounges across various airlines and the times randoms go up to say hello/get an autograph/photo etc. is really in the minority in my experience.

Quite a few airlines have private rooms where FSS/VIP/Special Services equivalent will squirrel away the real top end people and just bring them food/drink etc. from the public area.

True, but it really wasn’t as red as I expected.

my encounters have really only been on the plane, usually sitting up in FC they are brought on last, escorted off first...and by the time I’m on a plane, I really am not paying attention to who is there with me. Seems it is easier for them to control the situation. And I am probably a little PTSDed from my days living in LA and having the paparazzi always in the terminals, doing their thing

I'm not sure who gets in those areas. In my experience I have been on flights with a number of celebrities. To give three examples.

A woman who boarded late and got off from first and went a special way on landing in LAX, away from the little people like me.
A man, boarded a flight from JFK to LHR after the flight was called in the Flagship lounge. No escort, carried his own hand bag. No one waiting when he landed. Saw the same guy on another trip in the LHR Flagship Lounge. By himself, no escort.
A man, in the JFK Flagship, boarded without an apparent escort. Carrying his hand luggage. No one waiting when we landed at LHR.

Pretty sure the woman was Lindsey Lohan. The two were Robert DeNiro and Robert Plant. Not sure who gets which treatment and why.

Even though you were in the quiet room, I could still hear you and Lilith arguing.

I think true A Listers fly private, fly out of a private terminal and don't fly commercial. Among People magazine and US Weekly magazine readers may consider those people A Listers, but possible that among true A Listers those fly paid First Class in commercial are B+ Listers.

B+ listers like DeNiro and Plant? OK.

Richard Rawlings from Gas Monkey Garage in 1D on yesterday’s 2:40pm DFW-LAX flight. Very friendly. After FA made the Welcome Aboard announcement, he said she should have mentioned he was onboard because coach was “full of his people.” Not exactly sure what that meant, but he joking around a lot during the flight.
