Baggage allowance and lounge access on T Avios redemption?
I find the American website beyond confusing. I booked a return flight using avios on iberia.com from SFO to LAX in economy. It says there is no baggage allowance for hold luggage. I updated the booking to add my BA executive club Silver (Saphire) number. Do I get to take one bag in the hold due to my status? Can I access any lounges? Thanks. |

Thanks for clarifying. Will it show an option on check in in the app? Or will it be something I have to do at the airport? |
I would call AA and ask what it shows as your allowance. As it is the operating carrier, what AA shows is all that matters. If there is a problem, then go back to IB as the ticketing carrier.

The booking doesn’t show any hold luggage but if correct I can get one hold bag as part of the silver/saphire status then that’s fine. I’m guessing that maybe AA will recognise it when it comes to check in? |
