Anyone else receive an email like this... today (2 Jan 2019)?

Received an email from AA today...... stating that I had received 10k EQM's from my Citi Advantage card spend. HOWEVER... those miles posted on Dec 14, 2018!

EMAIL: You've earned 10,000 Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) based on your recent spending activity with your Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World EliteTM Mastercard. These EQMs count toward your qualification for elite status and have been added to your AAdvantage account.

Talk about a slow IT system!!!!!

I received a "Congratulations, you've earned 2 SWUs... and you have a chance to earn two more!" on 12/31. Pretty sure I couldn't plan and take a flight in those last few hours of 2018 for the additional 40,000+ EQM.

Although I'm starting to doubt if AA even looked at my account before personally writing me a note, as I think the text may have been generated by a computer program without any human intervention.

Maybe they’ve upgraded the o.s. to CPM? TRS-DOS?

likely. I sometimes get "check in for your flight" emails after I've landed.

Agree. I get notices on the App of boarding delays after I’ve arrived at destination.
