Introduction
Welcome to the 2019 version of the combined AA meals thread, focusing on international. To help give us a clear picture of your experience, remember to include routes, times, meal designation (breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack/refreshments/none), and if you want, seat number. Photos are welcome and very helpful. Those are guidelines, but of course, the format/style is all yours. Of course, discussion of improvements and/or cutbacks, questions, and thoughts are also welcome.
Format Sample
This is a format you can use when introducing your meal report. This is just a sample format; deviations are expected and are okay. However, if the flight is taken on a 777 in Business, please clearly indicate if you're in 2- or 3-class Business. If you want to see other examples of past formats, check out historical Int'l meal threads - or just post the same way you've always done.

DFW/NRT
Upcoming award DFW/NRT choice is "Traditional Japanese Meal. Dainomono: Braised beef, sake steamed fish." Does this mean no noodles or greens? Has anyone had it? Other choices are prawns and steak. Oh, for the days of the cold seafood plate. Thanks, Julia

LAX-HKG in F a few weeks from today. Leaning towards filling up at FFD (given the new SFO-LAX schedule has the last flight of the day arriving a full five hours before LAX-HKG ) and getting the duck panang curry sometime mid-flight.

LHR->ORD
B788 (Flagship Business)
Standard PDBs offered ex-LHR. Flight was empty with maybe ten persons in J.
Small Plate: Chicken and Apricot Terrine
Salad: Composed Orzo Salad
(requested a clean glass) Eek!
Main Plates: choice of Sliced Beef in Korean Style Soy Sauce, Cornfed Chicken Supreme, Seafood Boulibaise, or Green Pesto Gnocchi. I went with the chicken and it was pretty decent.
(nowhere to drain to excess liquid on this plate)
Dessert: Roasted Hazelnut and white chocolate tart
Service was decent in flight. Drinks refilled proactively and water bottles distributed. Have to say, the wine selection was atrocious. The cabernet (Imagery Cabernet Sauvignon) had really odd notes to it which made for a confusing wine. The Valpolicella (Corte Giara La Groletta Ripasso) was undrinkable. Better than BA? Of course. Going for great? Not really. But sad to say, I'm a happy campy these days with ontime departure and arrival with anything above that being a win.

J Meal Recommendations HKG-LAX
AA 192
HKG-LAX

J Meal selections -is it possible for AA to overcook a sous vide chicken breast? haha
Enjoyed a perfectly prepared Chilean sea bass during my CX flight last year -I suspect I'd be disappointed with AA's interpretation.
Recommendations requested...
