Pleasantly shocked by the LGA love. Interesting to see them PHX-RDU vs shipping people through CLT. After the merger I expected them to wind down more at RDU than they have.

As you know, RDU is a growing medical and tech city. Don't think AA wants to give too much of that up to DL. Be interesting to see the times. My bet is its early morning or red-eye ex PHX.

Excited for FCA. Time to start planning a visit to Glacier National Park.

HP did PHX-RDU for many years, even though they never flew to CLT. I think it went away shortly after the HP-US merger (along with some other PHX-east routes, like BDL).

Pleasantly surprised to see this, as AA has been completely inactive with new routes from RDU in the past few years, while Delta has doubled their # of destinations. Plus, PHX is already served by Southwest and Frontier, and AA doesn't seem to want to fight too hard in Raleigh (see Boston departure a few years back). While it's just 1 flight, hopefully a good sign for AA's future growth at RDU.

It's 5 new dots on the map from LGA, but four of them are summer weekends only. So in the summer it's about 13 new flights per week (and are they cutting anything? that doesn't make the press release, of course) and year-round it's 7 new flights per week.

Certainly better than nothing, but limited love.

Yep. Used to fly this route for work 2003-2005 getting upgraded 99.99% of the time as a 75K mile Platinum

To be fair, one of the LGA Saturday only flights (to JAC) is outside the perimeter so they can only run that one on Saturdays without an exception. That doesn't account for the limited schedules of the other flights, of course.
