I heard back from travel agency manager this week. He says that he put my name on the nomination list but it will only go out in January.

By your logic then, shouldn't you have always had your business with United? I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think AA has ever been transparent regarding CK qualification criteria, would you agree? Or is transparency only a "core value" if you don't make it in?

Do report back on how awesome United is!

Regards

EQD - $53.5k
EQM - 176k

Was hopefully to make CK in 2019, but no invite yet and no more travel this year. Oh well, maybe next year.
Colleague renewed CK with less EQD/EQM, and in the PHX market... I guess it's easier to renew when you're already in the club.

That’s close to USD 1,000 per segment, and I think my cost per mile was between $0.60 and $0.70, but it’s hard to say because some of my flights were in full-fare business on OW partners, and brought down the EQD relative to what it would have been for a flight on AA metal.
How is that even possible? You technically didn’t even make EXP with these numbers. Are you an executive or something? I feel like there are two main gates into CK: be important, or spend tons of money on AA metal

CK invitation

<<I feel like there are two main gates into CK: be important, or spend tons of money on AA metal>>

All my conversations indicate that they have gone to "How much AA business do you control for others" as the criteria. Some large corporate travel offices seem to get asked to name CK people in their company, but most of the CK's I have spoken with control the travel budget for others. I was CK for years, but got fired after the merger even though I was flying more on AA and spending more than ever.

No, the "two main gates" theory is correct.

Two entirely different paths towards CK, controlled by two entirely different departments within AA.

Thousands of CKs who make it on member profitability alone and don't in *any* way "control for others"
