AA App not Android compatible???

I just had to restore my phone (LG G3) to factory version. I went to download the AA app, which was working fine the other day, and now it is telling me this version is not compatible with my phone? Did they really design an new version that requires a brand new phone?

Do you have all the O/S upgrades installed? If you restored to the original, you may not.

It's not the app. It's the flyer ;)

I asked Marvin - he's still feeling paranoid and he says he hates the app.

It downloaded it this evening. No idea why it was telling me it was incompatible this afternoon.

Life. Don't talk to me about life.

Same thing happened to me this past week. I use a Samsung Galaxy tab 4 and got the message the AA app needed updating. Went I went to do that it said the current version of the app is not optimized for my device. So on a 4 hour flight between ORD-SJU and return I was not able to watch any of the movies on my tablet. I do not have the AA app on my phone so that was out. I have been updating android all along on the tablet so I am current. Jus another reason I am glad that I won't be flying AA anymore, this last trip used up a $1000 voucher. besides, the movie selection was pathetic.

The G3 is getting pretty old. Not unreasonable for companies to start dropping support for older Android OS versions (I can't remember what the G3 is running)

It may be getting old, 5 years for me from when I bought it, but it works fine for what I use it for. The UA app works on it and that is the airline I am now flying with.

I think the G3 still runs the latest.

I was eventually able to load the AA app. Must be some kind of update that has to go out first, that didn't show up when I tried updating the software.

At best it is running 6.0, 9.0 is the current. While it may be working now, you should be aware that soon many apps may stop working for it. Many have dropped 4.4 support already so 6 is next in line.
