Wait, what? Why would you want to end BOSJFK on the 321Ts? Lie flat seat for MCE price? Unless you're talking about delays ex-JFK because of late incoming from LAX/SFO.
If anything, this solidifies the BOSJFK 321Ts I assume for aircraft rotation - it looks like 2x/day glancing at the schedule in June

Hrm actually, good point. I wonder what the BOS-JFK 321Ts are still in the schedule for. Maybe the can borrow one in case it goes mx?

I don't know about premium demand on that route specifically but overall, PHL has 35% less domestic O&D than BOS. It punches way below its weight for metro size.

Maybe not. They could continue to fly A321T on BOS-JFK to position the aircraft for its transcon flights.
AA is responding to Delta, United, and JetBlue who fly flat beds on LAX-BOS. No competitor flies flat beds on LAX-PHL. However, one of AA's LAX-PHL flights is on A330 which has flat beds.

B/c there's several airports including EWR and BWI within 30-40 minute drive of much of the metro. Heck, a lot of people take the JFK Shuttle for certain discount international flights. Way more competition than at BOS which is the region's main hub.

Without more planes, they have to come from either LAX-JFK or SFO-JFK.
BOS-LAX and the JFK routes are prone to IRROPS in winter (and sometimes summer). If they fly a mixture of the 2 class and 3 class 321s, it will be pretty miserable to get bounced from a 3 class to a 2 class. The J seat in the 2class sucks.

Google flights shows 6 AA nonstops a day LAX to BOS. AA is announcing 2 of them will be 321T in each direction
Great, so a 2/3 chance you WON'T be on it, and if you book it and there's an issue, you DEFINITELY won't be on it. It'll be nice when it works though, and better than not having the option at all.
Best case scenario they make it more uniform and find a couple more 321Ts to put on it. If it proves profitable, I'm sure they will.
Would definitely like to see them do the same on their nonstop long haul routes from LAX to PHL, CLT and RDU (and of course MIA)

The issue with the 332 is its timed for the intl bank from Europe. So those 20 seats go fast (if they are available at all)
