Basic Economy and other oneworld airline status question
If you book a ticket at the basic economy price do you still get all status benefits?
I am BA Silver (OW Sapphire) so would expect free seat selection and free luggage.
So if I book Basic would all these come back once I've input my BAEC number?

Even AA's own elites don't get free seat selection at the time of booking. It is all explained on the AA website:

It is possible that the savings for BE over a standard Y ticket may exceed the seat selection fee on some international routes, but it is unlikely to be by much.
As OW Saphire, unless the BE savings far exceed the seat fee, you may want to consider the better seats as it makes a difference.
