There's no C available, so it's showing that you can't upgrade from Y or W.

The wording “SWU are valid to the next cabin” and separate listing of PE probably means that SWU may soon be Y-PE; PE-J only...

For the moment it’s still

From Discount Economy / Premium Economy (to Business / First)
  • Discount Economy with published fares booked in H,K,M,L,V,G,Q,N,O,S and Military or Government fares booked in Y
  • Discount Premium Economy with published fares booked in P

From Full-Fare Economy / Premium Economy (to Business / First)
  • Full-Fare Economy with published fares booked in Y
  • Full-Fare Premium Economy with published fares booked in W

etc. other t&cs here.

Just posting to assure nobody thinks it’s Y -> PE -> J -> F (yet?)

It says "next class of service", not "......next cabin"
There is a difference

What's the difference? Isn't PE the "next class of service" and "the next cabin" from Y?

This display has been exactly what you see when logged in as EXP for, as far as I can remember, the last year.

Yea, nothing new here. Back to regularly scheduled programming.

Exactly – this thread is based on a misreading of the table, which shows whether an upgrade is available FROM the listed cabin - it doesn't actually say anything about which cabin the SWU would land you in.

If they ever change the SWU to Y to Y+ that would be a serious slap in the face.

I, for one, am preparing myself for a slapping.

Oh i bet it's coming no doubt. I've already mentally prepped myself for the single worst devaluation to disAAdvantage that is eventually coming to an email near you.

Not for those of us who buy W.

Yes, it’s both.

Maybe/probably/eventually.
But that language has been there for a while, before PE was even introduced (and it was correct at that time). So I wouldn’t read anything into it.

Well, according to posts by a certain someone, SWUs are worthless already, so if that's true then there's no way to further devalue them.

There is no news in this thread. OP's question has been asked and answered. Not sure we need another thread with baseless fear and speculation about possible unknown future changes to SWUs.
