Regarding Walmart on Aadvantage Shopping, did you ... perchance ... catch that fleeting disclaimer screen?

Not eligible on Beverages, Breakfast Foods, Candy, Meals, Grocery, Pantry, Perishable, Snack Foods, Body Care, Oral Care, Household Chemicals, Pest Control, Laundry, Paper, Plastic, Cleaning Tools, Shaver Batteries, As Seen On TV, Apple Watch, newest model iPhones, cellular purchases, prepaid phone cards (Straight Talk), movie downloads, optical, pharmacy, prescription drugs, travel, financial services, why aren’t these capitalized, Walmart Grocery to Go, Walmart Connect Internet Service, student shopping cards or ShippingPass subscriptions, Wood, Metal, Polyester, Rayon, Chemical Weapons, Machine Guns, Hellfire Missiles, Very Large Rocks, Anything Not Listed But Which We May Think Up Later, So Don’t Even Try It, Your Mother.

... unquote.

I wouldn't recommend trying this, but I bought a box of cookies at WM.com to keep my United account alive, and got 3 miles. Forgot to pick them up, got the $3 refunded but kept the miles. Wasn't intentional, but it worked.

Those cookies you bought would seem to be on that very long list in at least two categories (Snack Foods and Grocery).

No legitimate business should ever have a list like that.
It’s bullcrap.
Makes me want to stay away not only from Walmart’s Aadvantage Shopping site, but from the entire chain.

And all this over a measly 1 mile per dollar.
Jeez ... can they spare it?

I was annoyed by the exclusions for Target (Like basically everything is excluded). Home Depot has almost no exclusions and a cheap, always useful extension cord is about $2. Then there’s $1-2 cleaning products. HD right down the street from me so that’s going to be my go to now.
