I think its time for me to tag out all my saved EXP luggage tags, for the past 13 yrs plus all the other status lags from AA
and just add them to my luggage.... I am sure people would think that I am very very important

then why does AA make them? I have nothing against the AAdmirals Club tags. The old Gold/Platinum tags don't exist anymore; this is the closest one can get without EXP. As much as we pay/endure for flights, you bet i'm going to expect some free tags and use them. Not so much about showing off actually.

I have my AA and DL tags on my carry on bag. Last year my son took my bag and for maybe 6 months I used a bag without tags. I definitely got more requests during that time to squeeze the thing into the little metal frame size checker than when I had tags. I actually went through some office drawers to find replacement tags. So why the tags might be a tad tacky, they do help beyond making it easier to track a lost bag.

Have had this bag for donkeys years now - sort of an evolution. Certainly don't have them on there for the DYKWIA but come to think of it I never get pestered about hand luggage etc. I'm fond of the airline and aviation in general so it's probably more of that than anything else.
