Wrong EQD & RDM credit after using SWU Y>J ex-LHR
I think the title says it all -- at least my suspicion is that the SWU extra tax payment somehow upsets the EQD calculation. I haven't seen this issue reported here yet.
I've had three trips this year when I've been credited less EQD than I should. An email (or two) to CS has resolved it for the first two. The third is in the works right now.
The recent trip (LHR/JFK return, both legs using SWU from Y to J) cost £409 (£38 fare, £203 carrier fees, the rest taxes). £38 plus £203 came to $340, and that was quoted during the booking process as the EQD to be earned. The SWUs were applied after booking through the EXP line and attracted an extra tax payment of $109.
I was credited 258 EQD. I can't fathom out where that number comes from, but no matter, in the end I expect it will be corrected. Just a warning for anyone else who might get short-changed. (I need all the EQD I can get, with LHR/JFK being my regular route. EQMs are easy.)

Three days after the flight, I've had no email acknowledgment or reply from CS. But, hey hey, it's been fixed!!
Maybe someone's reading FT. Either way, Thanks!

I just wrote an email through the web form, not specifically requesting a reply. On the two previous occasions this year when the same thing happened, I sent similar messages, and received an auto-reply after a few hours, and a real email after a few days to say the EQD had been "re-posted" (corrected).

When I've contacted AA CS via the form on aa.com I immediately get a confirmation that my request was received--for the adjudication of my request emails may not always be sent.
