Live TV now on domestic aircraft with satellite WiFi
Surprised no one has posted on this yet.
Will be nice not to have to choose from the same movies for 3+ months.

Get ready for lots and lots of questions from pax, like:
"How do I find the app"?
"Where's the app on my laptop"?
"What's "Wi-Fi"? "What's a browser"? "How do I connect"?

Disney Channel, but not ABC? That seems odd.

Isn’t it so wonderful that they started with all the longhaul A321 legacy US aircraft that don’t even have in-seat AVOD or power

319s and 320s to start - a very small portion of domestic flights. And neither 321s nor 738s mentioned.

ignoring live television channels, the new viasat wifi is so much better than standard gogo in terms of bandwidth. Streaming video, Netflix, youtube, without buffering are totally possible. This is a sign of better things to come. I was very surprised at how fast the data streaming was on a flight last week.

The current TV via wifi isn't (old) standard Gogo - it's 2Ku satellite Gogo.
Does anybody else read the citation of the OP and see a commitment by AA to finish the mainline narrowbody fleet TV rollout in 2019?

Southwest and Delta also have live TV.
And on Delta and JetBlue, you don't need to bring your own device.
