Wow, a new DFW-Germany flight is a welcome addition and it is also exciting to see them attempting Dubrovnik. I wonder if the seasonal Phoenix service to LHR will see BA drop their 2nd 747 in the summer?

Wow, so what's left TATL out of JFK after this? LHR, CDG, MXP, FCO, BCN, MAD is all I count. I could see them eliminating JFK-MAD too and leaving that route to IB. Pretty sad...
Also: I totally forgot about that random 2x/day FLL-PAP. Surprised it lasted this long given AA's general aversion to point-to-point flying. |
Well, as a NYC-based flyer I'm glad I've shifted a lot of my flying to Delta since it's clear that AA has totally given up on the market.
Not that it's a surprise, but it doesn't make it any less depressing to see it play out. |
Agreed, it may be time to re-consider Delta (or even.. sigh.. going back to United) just to get some decent destination coverage. JFK-LHR is a great product, but the rest of the int'l service out of JFK is pretty thin.
|
Wow, ORD-NRT to 3x weekly. At that point you might as well get out entirely, these days passengers aren't used to keeping track of which days a flight operates.
In general, ORD international service seems to have become halfhearted, with the focus on PHL instead. ATH doesn't make any more sense than MAN did. |

and close to double once you’re generous and include Newburgh/Stewart SWF in your definition of “greater New York” *only counting pure AA metal here. |
Shocked that PHL is losing FRA and MUC. Philadelphia has strong business ties to Germany and LH must have all the corporate traffic. While I'm excited by the seasonal destinations added, I'd say it evens out with the loss of one year-round and another seasonal route to Germany.

Disappointing to see JFK-DUB cancelled but the 757 wasn’t really competitive versus EI / DL on the route and with Aer Lingus’ impending addition to the transatlantic joint venture I’m sure we’ll see AA codeshare on their twice daily service. Perhaps EI will reinstate their seasonal early morning ex DUB / daytime westbound Great to see DFW added, even if it’s only seasonal though |
It's a shame they are giving up on Puebla as it is such a lovely city, but totally understandable. I could never justify the extra $$ to fly a CRJ to the PBC airport which is almost a half hour outside of the city on the autopista to DF and pay for an expensive taxi, when I could just fly mainline to MEX and catch a cheap and easy 2 hour bus ride to CAPU or 4 Poniente.
|
first ORD-PEK, now ORD-PVG. Not surprising. I can buy a J ticket last minute for 2500 to PEK/PVG on most days on any alliance.
Excited for DFW-DUB! |

During the peak summer season between June and August, JAL will increase its service on the route so that combined, the carriers offer twice-daily service that captures peak demand out of Tokyo. |
