I wonder if he actually thought he could fly the aircraft, like he drives a car?
Miller, as in “Beer”?
His charges seem much more serious than trespassing.
police that he planned to fly the twin engine jet to a rap music concert in Chicago.
When the suspect turned his face, two of the responding officers recognized the man as Scott. Scott was taken into custody and transported to the Miller County jail.
His charges seem much more serious than trespassing.
Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Chuck Black on Monday filed formal charges of commercial burglary and attempted theft of property. Both are punishable by three to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

Miller, as in James Miller, the first governor of the Arkansas Territory.
Sounds like he may have some history with Law Enforcement. Or he's a neighbor.
But it's kind of important to know which ones to push and pull, and when.
When the suspect turned his face, two of the responding officers recognized the man as Scott.
Asked about his lack of training as a pilot, Scott told Texarkana police that he didn't believe there was much more to the task than pushing buttons and pulling levers,

Whats sad here is that this kid is going to prison, and will most likely have a public defender who may or may not push to have him receive a proper psychiatric evaluation. Someone like this with such grandiose plans and ideas clearly is not in the proper mental capacity and rather than treating him like a criminal should be treated as a patient at a psychiatric facility. Too often than not individuals with psychiatric problems enter the system and will never get out. just sad to see

A bit off topic, but, Funny, I used to fly ex TXK and it wouldn't take much to get into the only aircraft on the tarmac overnight. At the time it was twin prop - I don't think there are any more of those though. The E145 would have been a godsend! I remember one morning I was flying TXK-DFW around 0700 and they had to call the mechanic at home to come and latch the baggage door. Waited in the plane for 30 minutes, saw the guy's toyota camery drive up to the AC got out with his tool bag and we were on our way.
For reference the 'extended lot' was a gravel lot literally across the street from the only gate. When you left, a sign asked you to please mail in the $5 for parking.
