For Aadvantage 230k is the best it gets for two round trip saver tickets, yes (57,500 each way in J). The theoretical minimum on Delta is 80k or 82k each way (compared to 57.5k) but wouldn't be nonstop from MIA, and I'm not sure what the YQ is with them.

If you are talking this August, likely nothing available. If you see any availability, grab it. If you return LHR-MIA, there will always be high taxes no matter who you fly (APD). Then some carriers will have carrier imposed surcharge (YQ), particularly BA (even if booked using AA miles)

AA has a great plane Mia-lhr , I’d do that if you can find anything.

Thanks for responses.
If I grab now, how much time, if any, to change or cancel without penalty...?

UPDATE: cancel OK to 11:59P next day
change dates free if same 57.5K one-way...

It depends what you mean by "grab." You can put AAdvantage awards on a free, five-day hold, without actually purchasing. Once you purchase, you have 24 hours to cancel for a full refund.

One caveat: you must finalize your "purchase" of AAdvantage award tickets at least 22 days prior to departure, or you will be dinged with a $75/ticket close-in award-booking fee.

Also, keep in mind that just because you are flying into the U.K. does not mean that you have to fly out of the U.K. on the way home -- unless that is the only SAAver option you can find.

If it is a 77W then I think row 7 is missing a window - one window rather than the usual 2 (or 3 at row 12).

Also, the middle block of seats and the windows seats are not as tightly aligned as you might expect from the seat map – my experience of the 77W is that you never really feel like you're sitting next to someone.

The folks in the cockpit might disagree.

Delta miles can get one Virgin Atlantic non-stop MIA-LHR at 150K miles r/t, with $290.41 in taxes.

Looks like a good value redemption. Round trip on AA direct is $3800 a ticket approx. Cheapest J is Avianca connecting in BOG for $2150.

According to this, row 7 seats standard, no problems, row 11 missing window:

but almost everything row 7-15 available now...
have booked...

Seatguru cannot be regarded as a reliable source. My comments were taken from the forum here discussing F and J seats on the 77W (https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/amer...hread-133.html) ... still not completely reliable but much more so than seat guru.
